Automation Test Engineer

Location: Brussels

Freelance Contract -02/02/2026- 31/12/2026

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a multidisciplinary Agile team developing digital solutions (web & mobile) for enterprise clients of Belgium's largest business bank.

You will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end quality through robust test automation integrated into CI/CD pipelines, contributing to high-performing, scalable applications in a modern cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium (Java) and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin)

Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data (functional & non-functional)

Integrate and maintain automation within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

Execute tests, analyse results, and report defects with clear documentation

Debug and improve automation frameworks for scalability and reliability

Collaborate closely with developers in a Scrum environment

Maintain clear documentation and apply ISTQB testing standards

Required skills & experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in test automation

Strong expertise in

Selenium - Java

Cucumber / Gherkin (BDD)

TestNG

GIT

Maven

Jenkins

Experience integrating automation in CI/CD

Practical experience with Scrum/Agile

Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience

Good knowledge of English (French or Dutch is a plus)
